These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MoatGoat DRM services, including the moatgoatdrm.com portal, the on-premises server, and the MoatGoat Viewer application (together, the "Service"), operated by Moat Goat DRM ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy to register.
2. No Resale
You agree not to resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially redistribute the Service or access to it, in whole or in part, to any third party without our prior written authorization. The Service is licensed to you for your own use under your subscription plan.
3. Subscriptions and Plans
Every account starts on the Free plan. Paid plans raise your monthly document allowance. Plan limits — including the number of API keys and the maximum of three (3) allowed domains per API key — apply as published and may be enforced automatically. Billing is processed by Stripe; paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
4. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and we may change these Terms and our policies at any time at MoatGoat's sole discretion. When we make material changes we will update the version date above and may require you to re-accept the Terms. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Service to infringe others' rights or violate any law.
- Do not attempt to circumvent license enforcement, usage limits, or security controls.
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoatGoat is not liable for any loss of data or money, nor for any damages arising from fraudulent actors breaching or circumventing security, unauthorized access, service interruptions, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
7. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
